About the FOX

The bottom of its combustion chamber is deeper than other models in its category and allows a greater accumulation of ashes, and thus able to empty them less frequently. Packaged in a rigid cardboard box for ease of transport, this appliance requires simple assembly.

The questions people actually ask

Will it really heat 1,200 sq ft?

That is the maximum, in a well insulated open layout. A closed floor plan or a drafty old house heats less. If your space is chopped into rooms, size up or plan for a blower.

Can I put it in a mobile home?

Many appliances this size are certified for mobile home and alcove installation, but it is model specific. Confirm it in the installation guide above before you order. A fresh air intake kit is required for mobile homes.

How close can it sit to a wall?

Clearance to combustible materials depends on the model and on whether heat shields or side panels are fitted. Exact numbers are in the dimensions drawing and the owner's manual above. Measure before you order.

Do I need to replace the catalyst?

Most of the wood appliances we carry are non catalytic, meaning there is no catalytic element to degrade, clean, or replace. The owner manual above confirms it for this model.

What does the warranty cover?

Drolet backs this appliance with its manufacturer warranty. We are an authorized dealer, so your warranty is honored directly by the manufacturer.

How fast does it ship?

It is in stock now and dispatched within 2 business days, to Canada and the USA. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
